I am excited as another Stags football year is near.
We have had a problem with the changes of the offense for two years and have became a team in decline. I have tried to accept the changes from the Brown era, but for some reason – players, coaching or both – it seems like times in the Corner have been tough. The head coach once again is singing good times are near for the deer. I have hopes and wishes to get back to the winning ways of the Stags, but I notice assistant coaches disappearing and many players being removed from the team.
I keep reading about all the seniors, and the third year will be the charm. The head coach keeps repeating that it’s a privilege to play for Berkeley not a right. I ask is not the head coach a privilege and not a right to motivate the players that need help and to teach them the way not simply kick them off the team when they have problems as all kids do?
I await your third year and do hope that this is a true turnaround year for you and the team. I think we all need a year of the deer not another year of lost expectations.
