Local Delegates attend Baptist Session

The 124th Annual Session of the Women’s Baptist Educational and Missionary Convention of South Carolina, with President Dr. Claudette Cureton was recently held in Greenville.
The conference’s theme was “Dedicated Christian Women Living the Purpose Laid out By God,” taken from Colossians.
Churches of Berkeley Counties Antioch Association, with Moderator the Rev. Dr. Leon G. Brown, and Women’s Auxiliary President Sister Lillie Whitten, were well represented by attending delegates from numerous association churches.
The conference provided a host of informative sessions for attendees. The keynote speaker for the youth session was Attorney Darrell Jay Bennett Jr., who at 18 wrote is first book, “Daring to be Different: 25 Tips for a Life of Success.”
Sister Lillie Whitten, President of Berkeley Counties’ Antioch Baptist Association’s Women’s Auxiliary, serves as a District One Executive Board Member for the Women’s Baptist Educational and Missionary Convention of South Carolina.

Jefferson Family Reunion

Heirs of the late John Jefferson are reminded of the reunion scheduled for July 19 -21. Please contact your family representative for additional information.  Some deadlines have passed; however, attendance is still possible with payment of contributions towards the picnic on Saturday, and Sunday’s Worship Service.

Special Thank You

I wish to send special words of appreciation to the many kind persons who sent me birthday cards and well wishes in many forms. I was deeply moved by the many kind acts, and wish you to know how much it meant to know that you cared enough to remember.
Thank you. I pray God’s continued blessings upon each and everyone.
I also appreciated the fruits and vegetables given with love and warmth. They were delicious!
I also wish to send happy birthday wishes to all June celebrants. If you didn’t get to have a special celebration, just give God the praise and glory for granting you life.

Congratulations

We are pleased to congratulate the Rev. Ronald Casey and First Lady Thelma Casey on the celebration of his Pastoral Anniversary.  We know that God is using him mightily at Prosperity Baptist Church, and that his church family is being blessed through and by his ministry.
