Spaces are filling fast for teachers, entrepreneurs, †and nonprofit employees interested in attending the second Googlefest at Trident Technical College (Building 920 in North Charleston).
The event on June 19 will teach participants how to maximize online tools such as Google AdWords, Google+, Google Apps, Google Drive and more.
Googlefest is free and open to the public. Anyone interested in registering can sign up through the Googlefest 2013 online registration form found at google.com.
Representatives from Google will conduct hands-on workshops to showcase tools and best practices for leaders in education, business and nonprofit communities on the Internet. The tools are not just for teachers in the science, technology, engineering and math (STEM) fields. Any teacher can improve the classroom experience with Google Hangouts or Google Doc’s.
Small business owners have to spend every dollar carefully for maximum effect. Increased knowledge of Google AdWords and Google Apps can help businesses attract and retain customers. Nonprofits also operate on limited budgets, but serve the greater good among us. They can benefit from learning how to easily set up a free website on Google Sites and find supporters and advocates on Google+.
