Christ our King-Stella Maris student Justin Pelic made history by winning two gold medals in the 100 and 200 meter dashes during the South Carolina State Hershey Track Meet held at Mount Pleasant’s Park West Track. Pelic, a rising seventh grader, is an outstanding football player and an honor student as well.

“Justin has outstanding discipline, dedication and work ethic” said Gary Santos, Pelic’s track coach at COK-SM. “Justin worked hard on his training and conditioning by running in knee deep water at the beach, running with parachutes and running the hill on Sullivan’s Island. “His dedication and commitment to preparing himself for the competition was outstanding,” Santos said.

Pelic is the first Christ Our King-Stella Maris student in the school’s history to win two gold medals in track and field.
