Macedonia graduates celebrated
 
It’s that time of year, when we celebrate our graduates.
Mallory Elizabeth Powers graduated from the University of South Carolina and received a Bachelor of Science in Nursing on May 10. She graduated from Timberland High School in 2009.
Mallory is the daughter of Odell and Rhonda Powers of Macedonia.
Other local graduates include Chris "CJ" Wiggins, who is graduating from Timberland High School on June 1. Joshua Dankzler graduated from Charleston Southern University. Chad Hudson is graduating from THS. Miss Hannah Tew is graduating from North Greenville College with degrees in theater design and Spanish. Miss Hannah Fickett is graduating from Berkeley Middle College and she plans to continue her studies at Trident Tech in Aircraft Maintenance.
  
Special Singing
 
There will be a special singing at Oak Grove PH Church on Friday, May 31 at 7 p.m. featuring the Gaskins Family.
 
VBS
 
The following is schedules for Vacation Bible School have been released for different churches:
Bethel Baptist Church, June 3-7, the theme is Colossal Caster World.
Oak Grove PH Church, June 9-14, 6 to 8:30 p.m., God's Backyard.
Under the Stars: Providence Baptist Church, June 23 - 28, 6 to 8:30p.m., Colossal Coaster World.
Hood's Chapel UM Church, June 24-28, Kingdom Chronicles. Commencement will be on Sunday June 29 with the morning service and dinner will be afterwards.
Hickory Grove PH Church, July 8-13.
Victory Baptist Church July 14-19,  6-8:30 p.m., VBS World Tour by Jeff Slayhter.
First Christian Church, July 28 – Aug. 2, Kingdom Rock.
Santee Circle Community Church, July 22-26, 9 a.m. to 12 Noon, Colossal Coaster World.
