A 40-year-old Jamestown man was killed in a Saturday car crash.
According to the Berkeley County Coroner’s Office, Javen Casselman Jr. was traveling on Hwy. 45 two miles east of Jamestown when his vehicle ran off the right side of the roadway. His vehicle hit a ditch, overturned several times and he was ejected.
The accident occurred at approximately 2 a.m.
Mr. Casselman was pronounced dead on the scene by Coroner Bill Salisbury. His death has been ruled accidental with the cause of death as blunt force body trauma.
The accident is under investigation by the Berkeley County Coroner’s Office and the South Carolina Highway Patrol.
