The Stratford softball team ended the season with a 14-14 mark after falling to Bluffton in the district tournament last week.
The Lady Knights were led in hitting by shortstop Meagan Thrower with a .390 batting average. Four other players also batted over .300 this season. Jordan Prince was second on the team in hitting with a .359 batting average, followed by catcher Megan Johnson (.349), outfielder Jessica Palmer (.333) and third baseman Kali Rose (.318).
Johnson was the team leading in RBIs with 17, followed by Thrower with 16 RBIs and Rose with 15.
Palmer finished as the team leading extra base hits with 13. She tied for the team high with eight doubles and had four triples and a home run.
Madison Ryan was near .300 and finished with a .291 batting average.
Both of Stratford’s losses in the Class AAAA playoffs came against Bluffton. The Lady Knights’ lone playoff victory was over North Augusta.
It was the final season for five seniors: Thrower, Johnson, Palmer, Rose and Ashley Galyo.
