Longtime Bonner employee retiring
Bonner Elementary School is losing a longtime employee.
Ms. Delores Frost is retiring from the school after 28 years of service. She has worked in education since 1985.
She began her career as a bus driver in 1985, and in 1990 in addition to driving a bus she became a cafeteria operator. She kept busy working two jobs.
She continued to drive a bus until 1995; in 2006 Ms. Frost became the BES Cafeteria Manager. She is responsible for making sure hundreds of students get a nutritious breakfast and lunch on a daily basis.
She truly cares for each and every student. Bonner Elementary will miss Delores, and wishes her all the best as she begins this new segment of her life.
Stroke Awareness Month
May is Stroke Awareness month and there are lots of symptoms of which people may not be aware.
Symptoms include sudden numbness or weakness of face, arm or leg, especially on one side of the body; sudden confusion, trouble speaking or understanding; sudden trouble seeing in one or both eyes; sudden trouble walking, dizziness, loss of balance or coordination; and a severe headache with no known cause.
Beware of these symptoms as you do not have to be elderly to have a stroke.
The Macedonia Community Action Project will be having its Annual Spring Tea on Saturday, May 18 from 3 to 5 p.m. at the Oak Grove PH Life Worship Center.
