East Cooper Habitat for Humanity has provided shelter and homes for more than 60 local families since its start in 1990, but there are more families out there who need a home, who need a place to raise their children.
In an effort to fund the next Habitat Home, East Cooper Habitat for Humanity is hosting a House Party Gala Event on Friday, May 17 in The Cooper River Room, located at the Mount Pleasant Memorial Waterfront Park.
Guests will be welcomed into The Cooper River Room and its beautiful Lowcountry scene murals with the joyful singing of the internationally-renowned Plantation Singers. Throughout the evening there will be delectable hors’doeuvres from Duvall Catering along with open bars serving martinis, wine and beer.
Guests are invited to make their way around the banquet hall and out into the spring evening, under a lit tent, to view many silent auction items and participate in a live auction which will include trip packages, unique experiences, gift certificates, art and more. Guests will also have the chance to dance the night away beneath the stars to the music of The Fantastic Voyage Band, a talented five-piece soulful dance band.
Please join East Cooper Habitat for Humanity for this beautiful evening and help make a family’s dream of homeownership a reality. Please visit the group’s website at www.eastcooperhabitat.org to purchase your tickets today or call Christine Pinson at 843-881-2600 ext. 201.
