Erin Aldrich Hood of Moncks Corner and Grant Wagner Newcomb of Corning, NY have announced their recent marriage. The couple exchanged vows during a private ceremony held Oct. 27, 2012 in Charleston.
The bride is the daughter of Mr. Fritz Hood III and Victoria “Vicki” Hood of Moncks Corner. She is the granddaughter of the late Mr. Fritz Hood Jr. and Mrs. Edna “Chicken” Hood of Macedonia, and Mr. Michael McCarthy and Mrs. Elizabeth McCarthy of Moncks Corner.
The bride is a graduate of the College of Charleston, with a Bachelor of Arts in Historic Preservation and Art History. She is employed by the City of Raleigh Parks and Recreation Department in Raleigh, NC.
The groom is the son of Capt. Wallace “Moe” Newcomb USANG (Ret) and Janet Newcomb of Charleston. He is the grandson of the late Mr. Wallace and Mrs. Laura Newcomb of Painted Post, NY and the late Mr. William and Brinton “Betty” Elizabeth Tomb of Pennsylvania.
The groom is a graduate of the College of Charleston with a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science. He is employed by Fastenal Company in Raleigh.
The couple currently resides in Raleigh with their black cat.
