Shagging on the Cooper dance series kicks off April 27

Get ready for summer – Shaggin’ on the Cooper and the Moonlight Mixers are back. Charleston County Parks’ dance event series kicks off with “Shaggin’ on the Cooper,” featuring live music April 27 at the Mount Pleasant Pier. The Moonlight Mixers at the Folly Beach Fishing Pier return May 31.

New this year is the “All Access Dance Card” – a season pass to all of the Shaggin’ on the Cooper events and Moonlight Mixers in 2013. It costs $84 ($60 for Charleston County residents) or $48 for just Moonlight Mixers or Shaggin’ on the Cooper ($36 for Charleston County residents).

Gates open at 7 p.m. for all events, and tickets are $10 per person ($8 for Charleston County residents).

During the events, food will be for sale at the Mount Pleasant Pier’s River Watch Cafe and at the Folly Beach Fishing Pier’s Locklear’s Beach City Grill. Food, beverages and parking fees are not included in ticket price.
