Be on the lookout for endangered bird
Take your binoculars on your next paddle of the Santee River. The public is being asked to report sightings of the swallow-tailed kite, an endangered-species in South Carolina and considered a species of highest conservation concern throughout its breeding range in North America.

Berkeley County invites you to celebrate the new Hanahan Library on Friday, April 26 at11 a.m., at 6326 North Murray Avenue in Hanahan. Parking will be available along Old Murray Drive.
In 2009 Berkeley County Council approved $1.4 million from capital-improvement bonds for the construction of the facility. It will be 6,700 square feet and will include a public meeting room. If more information is needed, contact Ramona Grimsley at 719-4240.

The ladies of Berkeley County are invited to join the Daughters of the American Revolution.
Membership in the DAR honors and preserves the legacy of your Patriot ancestor. Over 200 years ago, American Patriots fought and sacrificed for the freedoms we enjoy today.
