Crime in the County

The following incidents were obtained from Berkeley County Sheriff’s Office reports:
• On April 14 a contractor out of Mt. Pleasant reported the larceny of a two-ton air condenser from a site off Southern Sugar Avenue near Moncks Corner. The complainant could not provide a model number at the time of the report.
The condenser has an estimated value of $1,500.
• An Irmo woman reported one of her vacant rental properties in St. Stephen was burned to the ground on April 17. She gave an officer the name of a possible suspect.
The deputy noted the complainant did not witness the suspect perform any of these actions.
• A number of tires and rims were stolen from a school district bus repair shop off Whitesville Road. Two new tires and rims and two recap tires were reported stolen on April 18. The complainant told officers he walked the perimeter of the property and did not find any holes in the fence or signs of forced entry.
The total value of the stolen items is estimated at $1,443.
• A Bonneau woman reported on April 18 that several items were stolen from her Mail Route Road residence. The stolen items have a combined estimated value of $1,850.
