Crime in the County

The following incidents were obtained from Berkeley County Sheriff’s Office incident reports:
A burglary was reported at a Red Leaf Boulevard residence near Moncks Corner. The owner suspects the incident took place between March 28 and April 8. There were no signs of forced entry but the deadbolt was on and the door was open.
A realtor called the victim upon this discovery. The victim said a rug, a dining room table with six chairs, a stainless steel refrigerator, a washer and dryer and a self-propelled push lawn mower were among the missing items.
The estimated value of the missing items totals $3,100.
• On April 8 a deputy met with a Timberland High School assistant principal in regard to a concession stand burglary. Unknown subjects broke into the football field concession stand and stole four cases of assorted sodas valued at $52 between March 29 and April 8.
The complainant noted spring break was the week of April 1 – 5. The deputy obtained latent fingerprints.
• An antique cast-iron syrup catcher was reported stolen from a Cross resident on April 8. The antique is about five by five by three feet in dimension and black on the outside and red on the inside. The victim checked with a scrap metal facility to no avail.
The antique is valued at $100.
• A St. Stephen man reported that his 1992 white Chevy Silverado pickup truck was stolen from his residence between 8 p.m. on April 7 and 5 a.m. on April 8.
The vehicle is a short bed with step sides, a skull in front of the grille, a skull in the middle of the Chevy symbol on the tailgate, a hood scoop, rims painted orange on the inside, and a back glass with a sticker of a skull on the driver’s side.
