A former Stratford baseball standout is on the move in professional baseball.
Justin Greene, a five-year pro after being drafted in the 20th round out of Francis Marion, was traded from the Chicago White Sox to the Arizona Diamondbacks for cash considerations.
Greene, who will turn 28 this October, has played as high as Class AAA in his pro career and is a .270 career hitter.  He’s logged 519 at-bats and has driven in 204 runs and stolen 117 bases. He has 43 home runs, 29 triples and 93 doubles.
He will likely open up in Class AA Mobile, Ala. in the Southern League.
