Holly Hill Club
On March 11, the Holly Hill Music Club celebrated its Annual Guest Night at The Utopia.
The program included a full evening with a silent auction beginning at 6:30 p.m. and again during intermission. After the Invocation by the Rev. Marvin Locke, an excellent dinner was served.
A grand program was presented by Lake Marion High School's Select Chorus, Full Chorus, as well as the LMHS Ensemble.
A number of good and blossoming soloists took lead roles within the program. The program ended with three soloists performing within a medley of familiar numbers also arranged by their director.
The auction benefited the Bennett McLeod Scholarship Fund of HHMC.
The scholarships are awarded to local high school graduates or adults who plan to study piano, voice, or choral directing at the college level. Donations are also appreciated.
The mission of music clubs around the country is to cultivate and encourage musical taste, talent and appreciation everywhere!
To continue support of the arts in the Lowcountry, you may wish to attend a Disney musical under the direction of a member of the HHMC on May 1 at Lake Marion High School.
