Creeden named MMS Teacher of Year
Congratulations to Brigid Creeden, the Macedonia Middle School Teacher of the Year.
Creeden is the MMS Student Council Advisor and is in her 13th year of teaching. She graduated with her Bachelor's degree from Limestone College and her Master's degree from Columbia College.
She is also the RTI representative for the eighth grade, and a tutor for Saturday school and after school tutoring.
"I decided to become a teacher because I wanted to make a positive difference in the lives of my students,” she said. “It is important that teachers realize that it is not only about grades and test scores, but how we treat our students.
“I take great pride in the great relationships that I have with all my students. It is important to me that my classroom is a safe, student centered, positive learning environment that will allow all students to learn the tools they need to become successful, independent adults."
We are so proud of Ms. Creeden and all she does to make Macedonia Middle School a great place to learn.
Keith Plott will be the guest singer at Providence Baptist Church on April 7 for the morning service. Dinner on the grounds will follow the service.
The Macedonia Middle School Trebuchet Team recently placed third in the Storm the Citadel Trebuchet Competition.
Congratulations to the entire team and their teacher sponsor, Mr. Aaron Brown. The school thanked Central True Value in Moncks Corner for donating supplies, and Mr. Henry Taylor for his help and support.
