NAACP breakfast set for Saturday
The Moncks Corner NAACP will conduct a commemorative breakfast in recognition of Black History on Saturday, March 16 at 9 a.m., at the Masonic Lodge Hall, New Highway 52, Moncks Corner.
The theme for the breakfast is “Financial Empowerment” and the speaker for the occasion will be Diane Sumter, Economic Development Chairman, S.C. State NAACP and President and CEO of DESA Inc. Donation for the event is $7.

Educational Forum
An Educational Forum will be presented for the public on March 18 at 7:30 p.m., at the Masonic Lodge Hall (Highway 52 in Moncks Corner). The speaker will be Dr. Glenda Levine, associate superintendent for human resources at the Berkeley County School District.

2013 Annual Session
The 136th Annual Session of the Baptist E and M Convention will convene on May 5-11, 2013, at Mount Moriah Baptist Church in Spartanburg.
Dr. Benjamin D. Snoddy and the Spartanburg Association Family will serve as hosts.
The speaker will be Dr. Clarence Moore, Vice President of the Southeastern Region of the National Baptist Convention, USA Inc. We are asking that each church and association purchase at least two tickets at $35 each for this occasion.
