Residence, car hit in county drive-by-shooting

 An estimated six bullets were fired toward a residence at Leisure Drive, off Sheep Island Road, on a recent night in lower Berkeley County.
The victim said she and her daughter were inside the residence at about 8:45 p.m. on Feb. 14 when they heard several gunshots, according to a Berkeley County Sheriff’s Office incident report.
Upon returning home the next day the victim and her daughter noticed six bullet holes in the trunk of the victim’s 1991 Chevy Caprice. They also noticed two holes on the front of the residence where the victim’s daughter’s bedroom is, according to the report.
The victim told officers that her daughter’s 32-inch TV was damaged by one of the bullets. The victim pointed out four casings by the road, which the deputy collected and placed into evidence.
The victim said after hearing the gunshots she heard a motorcycle leaving the area. According to the report, the victim said hearing gunshots in the area is an ongoing problem.
