East Cooper Medical Center holds March for your health

East Cooper Medical Center will offer a free community health event at the hospital, located at 2000 Hospital Drive in Mount Pleasant. The event will be held on Saturday, March 9, 2013 from 9 a.m. until noon.

There will be free health screenings including: cholesterol; diabetes; blood pressure; osteoporosis; foot screenings and ergonomic assessments. There will also be opportunity for consultations with family physicians; podiatrists; diabetic educators and sleep disorder and breast health specialists.

For those with osteoarthritis of the knee, there will be an opportunity to learn more about MAKOplasty®, a procedure powered by a robotic arm – the only one in South Carolina – designed to relieve pain and restore range of motion.
