  • Wednesday, March 6, 2013

The following incidents were obtained from Goose Creek Police Department and Berkeley County Sheriff’s Office reports:
• A woman residing in a Harbour Lake Drive apartment reported recently that her ex-boyfriend broke into her residence and stole more than $2,500 in valuables. The victim said her neighbor saw the suspect enter the apartment and take the aforementioned items. The victim did not have the proper paperwork to show ownership of several of the stolen items.
• A Ladson man reported someone broke into his Cluster Pines Road residence and took an assortment of items.
On Feb. 20 the victim walked into the kitchen and discovered the window was broken. Missing from the residence were 11 bottles of wine, three large bottles of Tide laundry detergent and $40 worth of steaks from the freezer. The victim said he has several firearms and expensive electronics throughout the residence that were apparently untouched.
A deputy collected a piece of shattered glass from the broken window that appeared to have blood on it. The glass was submitted for forensic testing.
• Two neighboring residences on Winding Rock Road were hit by paintball vandals on a recent night. The first victim reported paintball residue on her garage door, window pane, front brick wall and siding. The second victim reported that both her garage doors were hit by paintballs. The responding officer observed orange paint residue on the center of both garage doors. The second victim gave a description of a possible suspect vehicle they saw driving down Winding Rock Road earlier that night.
• An Indigo Road man reported that his residence and rental car were vandalized on a recent night. The responding officer observed black spray paint on the garage door that was fresh compared to the remnants of spray paint from the last incident at this residence.
There was black spray paint on the license plate, rear window and truck lid of the silver 2012 Toyota Corolla. A quarter-inch divot was found in the front windshield of the vehicle. The estimated cleaning and repair cost to the garage door is $400, while the estimated cleaning cost to the vehicle is $2,500.
