Pink Out!
Timberland will host Berkeley in a “Pink-Out” softball game at 7 p.m. on March 6.
Concessions will be sold to raise money for Relay for Life.
THS and HOSA have raised close to $2,000 at this time.
There will be a raffle for a chair made by Mr. Darby and his carpentry students. There will also be luminary bags for purchase to display at the Relay for Life event.
Raffle tickets will be $1, or six tickets for $5. You do not have to be present to win. All proceeds will go to Relay for Life.
Come out and support the Timberland Lady Wolves Softball Team and Relay for Life at the same time.
Timberland High School was recently awarded a $500 grant from Young’s Convenience Stores and the ExxonMobil Educational Alliance program to support math and science education.
The Exxon Young’s located at 1487 Main Street in Bonneau worked closely with school officials to secure the grant, which is one of 2,500 available to schools across the country served by Exxon or Mobil stations.
“During times of budget cuts and limited outside funding, we are proud to be able to provide our local schools with this financial support,” said Jeff Turpin, CEO of the VPS Convenience Store Group.
The grant will provide supplemental learning tools such as science lab supplies, iPads, graphing calculators, or funding for math and science related field trips.
