Talent on display at Miss Wando pageant

Miss Wando 2013 is scheduled for March 9 at 6 p.m., doors open at 5 p.m. Tickets are $10 for adults, $5 for students at the door. This year’s theme is “Ignite the Light” – taken from Katy Perry’s smash hit “Firework.”

There are 19 girls competing in this year’s pageant (by order):

No. 7 – Rebecca Brantley

No. 10 – Cecelia Leto

No. 11 – Grace Whitbeck

No. 12 – Carly McDavid

No. 13 – Brittany MacDonald

No. 14 – Georgia Compton

No. 15 – Sophia Warren

No. 16 – Chelsea Niles

No. 17 – Amelia Beilke

No. 18 – Kensey Jones

No. 19 – Mary Hirsch

The evening will be hosted by our reigning Miss Wando, Madeline Chitty.

The girls are judged on their resume, opening statement, talent, poise, question and answer. Talents range from dramatic monologues to singing and dancing to piano playing.
