Russell Graham Jenkins was awarded the rank of Eagle Scout. He was presented the award during a service attended by family and friends.
Jenkins is a member of BSA Troop 20, sponsored by Mount Pleasant Presbyterian Church.
In addition to being presented an Eagle Scout award, Jenkins was presented with letters of congratulations from Mount Pleasant Mayor Billy Swails, Charleston Mayor Joseph P. Riley, U.S. senators Tim Scott and Lindsey Graham and S.C. State Senator Chip Campsen.
The significance of obtaining the rank of Eagle is that less than three boys who join Boy Scouts become Eagles Scouts.
