As part of its annual budget process, each year Mount Pleasant Waterworks (MPW) holds a series of meetings. On Feb. 18, MPW held the first public hearing of the Capital Improvements Plan. The public hearing was to receive input on the proposed Capital Improvements Plan and provide customers the opportunity to receive a presentation on what the proposed plan includes and provide comments or project request to the Commissioners. Following the public hearing is a public comment period. This comment period is open until March 18. Any customer or potential customer desiring service should file a written request during the comment period for consideration in the Fiscal Year 2014 Budget.
All meetings are open to the public and the commission welcomes input from customers. The next meeting will be held on March 18. At this meeting the commissioners will receive a presentation of the proposed Fiscal Year 2014 budget and review preliminary rates, fees and charges for Fiscal Year 2014. MPW staff would encourage customers to participate in these meeting and learn more about your water and wastewater service.
