Grooms picks up endorsements

State Sen. Larry Grooms received two coveted conservative endorsements last week when South Carolina’s Third District U.S. Congressman Jeff Duncan and Fifth District U.S. Congressman Mick Mulvaney threw their support behind the Bonneau Republican.
“South Carolina’s Congressional Delegation is known across the country and in Washington for being a united voice for conservatism,” Duncan said. “In fact, we’ve earned a reputation of working together, standing on principle and protecting South Carolina values.
“It’s important to ensure that the person who replaces Tim Scott be a reliable conservative, a proven fighter and a leader who will join our mission to cut wasteful Washington spending. I’m convinced the best person for the job is Larry Grooms.”
Mulvaney echoed his counterpart’s sentiments.
"I know Larry well and I've worked with him on several issues when we served together in the state senate,” he said. “Larry’s brand of conservatism, leadership and strength will serve South Carolina and the First District well in Congress.”
Grooms said he was “honored and greatly humbled by Jeff and Mick’s endorsement.”
