DD2 hosts Dorchester Regional First Lego League Competition
February 2, 2013 was a full day of competition at the Dorchester Regional First Lego League Qualifier at River Oaks Middle School. Twenty-eight teams competed in events that tested science, technology, engineering and math skills. Each elementary and middle school in Dorchester School District Two fielded teams along with teams from Dorchester District Four, Colleton County, and Charleston County. There were winners in robot performance, core values, project, design, team spirit, perseverance and an overall winner of the tournament.

SC First Lego League State Championship will be held at White Knoll High School, 5643 Platt Springs Road, Lexington, S.C. on Saturday, Feb. 23 from 7 a.m. until 5 p.m.
This event completes the tournament season for First Lego League. Eighty teams will compete for the title of State Champion. The public is invited to attend.
