Willa Shaw Brown of Florence, beloved wife and mother, passed away Feb. 10, 2013. She was 77.
Born March 8, 1935 in Jamestown to the late William Boyd Shaw and LaVerne Dubose Shaw, she devoted her life to caring for her family and friends.
Survivors include her husband, Reggie Brown of Florence; sons Tregg (Beth) Brown of Bentonville, AR and Dr. Rhett (Carl Brinson) Brown of Charlotte, NC; a sister, Robin Ferguson of Jacksonville, FL; grandchildren, Cameron Brown of Dallas, TX, Brittany Brown, Rebecca Brown and Reid Brown, all of Bentonville, AR.
She was preceded in death by her sister and best friend Doris Clark.
A private memorial service was held Feb. 16. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to National Public Radio C/O ETV Endowment of SC; PO Box 707 Columbia, SC 29202.
