John Eli Smith of Bonneau he died on Feb. 8, 2013, peacefully in Bonneau Beach, surrounded by his loving family. He was 89.
Mr. Smith was born on Feb. 20, 1923, on King Street in Charleston.
Surviving are his wife, Lila W. Smith of Bonneau; two daughters, Susan Rison and her husband, David, of Summerville, and Cynthia Smith and her husband, Spires, of Johns Island; a daughter-in-law, Marjorie H. Smith, of Charleston; four grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
