Dr. Kathryn Thama Stroud and Charles Matthew Bullwinkel were united in marriage on Saturday, Dec. 29, 2012, at St. Luke’s Chapel in Charleston. The Reverend Dan Ratchford officiated the 6:30 p.m. ceremony, and Father Timothy Lijewski blessed the marriage. Ann Stelling Pope and Zachory Ian Manis were scripture readers. A reception followed at Hibernian Society Hall.
The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Bradley Howard Stroud of Chapin, S.C. and a granddaughter of Margaret Fowler Teague and the late Edward Francis Teague and the late Mr. and Mrs. Jennings Howard Stroud. The bride is a graduate of Chapin High School, Wofford College and a 2011 graduate of the Medical University of South Carolina College of Dental Medicine. She is currently an orthodontic resident at the University of Illinois at Chicago.
The groom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. George John Frederick Bullwinkel, Jr. of Mount Pleasant and a grandson of the late Mr. and Mrs. George John Frederick Bullwinkel and the late Mr. and Mrs. Charles Edward Eiserhardt. He is a graduate of Heathwood Hall Episcopal School, the College of Engineering and Science at Clemson University and a 2010 joint-degree graduate of the University of South Carolina School of Law and Moore School of Business (IMBA). He is employed with Deloitte Consulting as a real estate and location strategy senior consultant in Chicago, Ill.
The bride wore her mother’s wedding gown redesigned especially for her. Margaret Alice Stroud, sister of the bride, was maid of honor. Bridesmaids were Charlotte Rhett Brennan, Dr. Lauren Bullwinkel Davis, Emily Smith Eiserhardt, Megan Stewart Plexico, Elizabeth Christian Pope, Dr. Cady Free Williams, Dr. Lauren Crosby White, Alexzandra Moore Raymond, Lee McLaurin Tiller Bullwinkel. Margaret McKenzie Davis, niece of the groom, was a junior bridesmaid. Anna Elizabeth Davis and Cecil Ann Bullwinkel, nieces of the groom, were flower girls. William Kerry Davis, nephew of the groom served as the ring bearer. Honorary bridesmaids were Mary Clark Prevost and Brucie Hendricks Smith.
George John Frederick Bullwinkel Jr., father of the groom, was the best man. Groomsmen were George John Frederick Bullwinkel III, Randall Ellis Brooks, Christopher Barrett Burley, Kerry Randall Davis, Charles Edward Eiserhardt III, Charles Taylor Mims, Llewellyn Gregory Pearce III, Reed Henton Rogers, Scott Edward Shackouls, Benjamin Bradley Stroud and Jennings Gregory Stroud.
After a honeymoon trip to Brazil and Argentina, the couple will reside in Chicago, Ill.
