This week marks the nationwide release of “Be Loved Eagle,” the latest in the Beloved Bird children’s book series written by Mount Pleasant author Cindy L. Hanson, Ph.D.
In the story, life lessons are easily discovered in a whimsical way that both children and adults enjoy. Dr. Hanson “spins her yarn,” teaching truths that are hidden within the details of the story. The readers soon recognize parts of their own lives in the journey of this eagle. Children like to identify with the strength and determination of the eagle who keeps her dreams alive despite opposition. They will enjoy the humor in Dr. Hanson’s books, and her sensitivity to the longings of the heart.
Published by Tate Publishing and Enterprises, the book is available through bookstores nationwide, from the publisher at www.tatepublishing.com/bookstore, or by visiting barnesandnoble.com or amazon.com.
Dr. Hanson earned a B.A. (summa cum laude), M.S. and a Ph.D. in clinical psychology, specializing in issues related to children and families. She has numerous research-based articles and chapters published in scientific literature. Part of her role as a tenured professor was teaching graduate and undergraduate students in child- and family-based therapies.
She now writes books for children of all ages and for those who are “children at heart” to bring hope, imagination and joy. Her passion is to create and share, whether a book, a watercolor painting or a deeper understanding of the love that connects us. She lives in Mount Pleasant and is also the author of “A Mighty Eagle.”
