St. Stephen Middle School honor roll students announced
 
The St. Stephen Middle School 2012-2013 Junior Scholars are Myles Garrett, Ra Anderson and Lindsey Williams. 
The school’s “A” Honor Roll for the second nine weeks: Lahkeith McDaniel and Carlos Tinajero (sixth grade); Kyzahni Flores (seventh grade); and Lindsey Williams (eighth grade). 
The “A & B” Honor Roll for second nine weeks: Righteous Anderson, Autumn Brooks, Josten Bryant, Slyvester Flagler, Qu’Deja Green, Salena Milford, Shontell Milford, Jarrell Mustapher, Tyra Wells and Alliyah Williams (sixth grade); Lanasiauna Boone, Jaylen Brown, Chloe Carr, Savannah Martin, Sierra Price, Sha’Kayla Ravenell and Aiyana Thomas (seventh grade); and Ra Anderson, Savanna Canty, Tupac Coaxum, Diamond Davis, Trequawon Green, Jamal Hill, Willesha Holmes, Lyric Howell, Elizabeth Mitchell, Joseph Moultrie, LaJ’ai Reed, J’Quan Reid and Carlissa Sinkler (eighth grade).
Congratulations to the students of St. Stephen Middle School for a job well done. 
 
Chili Cook-Off
 
Members of Russellville Christian Church recently held their chili cook-off contest. 
 
There were six participants and the winners were: First Place, Stanley Tucker; Second Place, Eddie McCay; and Third Place, Gary Rentzel. The chili was homemade and delicious.  Everybody enjoyed the fellowship and is looking forward to the next contest.
 
Community Lunch
 
The St. Stephen Community History Room and Café will be open on Thursday, Feb. 14 from 11 a.m. until 1:30 p.m.  The menu will consist of pork loin, seasoned rice, steamed cabbage and field peas. 
The cost of lunch is $7.  Dine in or take out plates available. 
The community café is located on Bay Street, inside of the St. Stephen History Room, and managed by local volunteers. Support from the public is greatly appreciated. 
If more information is needed or you would like to place an order in advance, call 670-6213.

Congratulations to Emily and Chris Teer on the birth of their son, Benjamin Ryan Teer. He was born on Jan. 18, weighing 6 lbs. 6 oz. 
Congratulations also go out to proud grandparents, Mayor Bobby and Terry Hoffman, and great-grandparent Cricket McGriff.
