The Berkeley County Chamber of Commerce is set to produce a series of podcasts highlighting “Berkeley Adventures” on its website and on YouTube.
These podcasts will show visitors all the wondrous adventures that await them in Berkeley County. The first three in the series will highlight Palmetto Trail, Biggin Church and the Pineville Chapel.
Social media is becoming increasingly important in travel and tourism. “Video does something traditional media alone cannot,” said Elaine Morgan, CEO of the Berkeley Chamber of Commerce, “it captures sights and sounds and builds visitors’ anticipation. Video is also the most likely media to engage social sharing.
“Once prospective visitors and event planners see all the Berkeley County has to offer, they will have a hard time finding a better part of Lowcountry to visit.”
Other planned releases will explore Mepkin Abbey, The Crèche, Canoeing on Wadboo, Frances Marion Grave, Battery Warren and hiking adventures in Berkeley County.
The podcasts will be available on the Chamber’s website at www.visitberkeleycounty.com; and on the Chamber’s YouTube station at www.youtube.com/user/BerkeleyChamber.
