‘Teens for Jeans’ campaign ramps up
The Timberland High School DECA and marketing classes, under the direction of Jillian Coffin, are off to a great start with the 2013 Teens for Jeans campaign.
This program is sponsored by Aeropostale, which distributes gently worn jeans to needy teens.
The program is under way, and will continue until Feb. 10. Please bring your gently worn jeans to Ms. Coffin's Room (B-108).
Parents and community members may drop the jeans off at the front office. We need your help for this worthy cause.
The winning school in the nationwide contest, by collecting the most jeans, will earn a grand prize of $10,000. In 2012, THS Teens collected 700 pairs of jeans.
Pennies for Patients
The Timberland High School Interact and FBLA clubs are collecting donations for the Leukemia Lymphoma Society Pennies for Patients until Feb. 8.
The Leukemia and Lymphoma Society (LLS) strives to cure leukemia, lymphoma, Hodgkin's disease and myeloma, and improve the quality of life of patients and their families.
The LLS is the world's largest voluntary health agency dedicated to blood cancer. LLS funds lifesaving blood cancer research around the world and provides free information and support services. Its priority is to help blood cancer patients live better, longer lives.
Each teacher at Timberland is participating to raise money for this great organization.
Parents and students, please donate your pennies or change. We are accepting any denomination of money to support this great cause. You can drop your pennies or change off at the school office or send them by any student.
Thanks for your participation.
