Ernest C. Mertins Sr.

Ernest Christian “Ernie” Mertins Sr. of Macedonia, owner and operator of Merco Enterprises, died Sunday morning, Jan. 6, 2013 at a local nursing home. He was 67.
Surviving are his daughter, Linda Hedleston and her husband Dc of Bonneau Beach; a son, Ernest C. Mertins Jr. and his wife, Kim, of Maryville, TN; a sister, Julia Burns and her husband, Dale Phipps, of North Charleston; three step-brothers, Lonnie Adkins of Moncks Corner, Randy Adkins of Summerville, and David Adkins of Macedonia; four grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
