American Red Cross volunteers were called to the scene of a home fire last week and provided assistance to a Moncks Corner family that included three adults.
The Red Cross provided the fire victims with funds to replace food lost in the fire, comfort kits, containing personal hygiene items, and referrals to partner agencies to assist with the family’s long-term recovery.
The Red Cross has assisted 620 individuals affected by disasters, including home fires, in its seven-county region of Beaufort, Berkeley, Charleston, Colleton, Dorchester, Hampton and Jasper counties, since July 1.
