Christmas project benefits children
The Antioch Baptist Associationís Womenís Auxiliary recently conducted its annual Christmas Gifts for Children Drive.
The project involved all missionary auxiliaries of member churches. Each member church was assigned a family to bless and all churches responded in grand fashion.
Auxiliary officers collected the wrapped items form church representatives for delivery to the designated organization. This project brings joy and gladness to the homes of many surprised boys and girls on Christmas Day.
Members of the Day Dawn Baptist Church Missionary Auxiliary were extremely actively involved in meeting the needs of their assigned family, as they wrapped and prepared the special love tokens for delivery to the Antioch Baptist Associationís reception site.
The camaraderie and care expressed by the gift wrappers is an indication of the spirit of the season, and the care the entire Antioch Baptist Association places on this, and all projects as they work to fulfill their mission of serving others in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ.

In the spirit of the holidays and the pending end of the year, 2012, we can all focus on being thankful, giving good cheer, or wishing for a bright future year. †
It is my hope that each of us will experience and express all of the above. In spite of any loss experienced, joys gained; in the end, the fact that we are still able to live, love and give of ourselves to others are blessings to celebrate during the holidays and throughout the year.
I thank God for my husband, children, grandchildren, in-laws, all family members, friends, associates, my job, the growth Iíve experienced, the pains endured, and joys that come my way continuously. I have learned to see the hand of God in all things, and because of that, I have great laughter in my life.
I therefore send to each of you warm wishes for a very Merry Christmas.
We send our heartfelt and sincere expressions of sympathy to the families of Evangelist Joyce L. Dingle, Jonathan McCray, and Darlene Howard.
They were all very special people whose lives touched many in ways that will linger forever in their hearts.
