Cane Bay swept at James Island

The Cane Bay basketball teams were swept on the road on Monday night, losing to James Island in a pair of non-region games. The Lady Cobras fell 48-36, followed by the Cobras’ 69-63 loss.
Brookelynn Doctor and Shameque Robinson had nine points apiece for the Cane Bay girls, while Kabreea Howell and Dobroslawa Szczypka added six points each. Doctor and Howell pulled down 12 and nine boards, respectively.
Bret Masmeri had 15 points for the Lady Trojans (2-7), while Sara Wright chipped in 11.
Cane Bay’s boys (2-7) were led by Jiquan Hammond, who poured in a season-high 36 points. Devin Kilgore had eight points.
Brady Schuck led three James Island players in double figures with 15 points. The Trojans improved to 3-6
