Claudius M. Cross

Claudius Memminger Cross of Cross, a retired auto and truck repairman and a security employee of Wells Fargo, passed away at his home on Friday, Dec. 14, 2012. He was 96.
Mr. Cross was married to the late Marion Locicero Cross. He was born Dec. 13, 1916, in Cross, a son of Charles C. Cross and Caroline Justine Grooms Cross.
He was a member of Friendship Methodist Church. A 1936 graduate of Cross High School, he later served in the U.S. Army during World War II.
Surviving are two daughters, Barbara Haynes of Cross and Elizabeth Hopstein of Knightsville; five grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.
A graveside memorial service was held in the Church of the Holy Family Cemetery on Wednesday, Dec. 19, 2012, directed by Russell Funeral Chapel of Moncks Corner.
