Meth bust nets one arrest

Agents with the Berkeley County Drug Enforcement Unit has made an arrest following the search of a Sangaree area residence for a possible meth lab.
According to the BCSO, Sharon Lynn Haynes, 43, was arrested at her residence at 1827 Eastside St. and charged with manufacturing methamphetamine and possession with intent to distribute methamphetamine.
Drug Enforcement Unit Capt. Mike Williams said agents went to the residence in regards to complaints of a chemical smell in the area, a BCSO release stated.
According to the release, Haynes voluntary gave permission to search the address and, after finding several items consistent with the manufacture of methamphetamine, agents then obtained a search warrant for the entire property.† Inside the residence agents found several clear plastic bags containing a white powdery substance.
