Unhappy with Cruce

Dear Editor:

I have been thinking about season two under Coach Jeff Cruce at Berkeley High School.
This 2012 season was the season to judge Cruce's team, per his statements. Well, coach, the season is over and you won one more game than 2011. You talked about a hard schedule and I see your 3AAA schedule as one of the easiest in 3AAA. With 40 seniors and another year with you, I wonder what 2013 will bring. I cannot understand how the Stags went 18 years with no losing record with the last coach. I know there were many years of young teams but somehow the coaching staff found ways to motivate the players to win more than they lost. What happens if you don’t win with 40 seniors and we have to start over again?
I am on my 48th year of Stags football and have seen many wins and many losses, but now there is something more than Jimmies and Joes. The program is in disarray and the fan base is bailing on the team. I went to all the games and found great dissent in the Stags Nation.
Arrogance and lack of communication with the fans of Berkeley is unacceptable. You are a representative and as athletic director/coach should be open to thoughts positive and negative of the people who pay your salary. Everywhere I go I am told of you refusing to take comments if you don’t agree with them and I know that since the second game of the season, you refuse me any conversation with you.
That's my thoughts and opinions of the state of the Stags Nation.
