Girl Scouts visit home of Juliette Low
St. Stephen Elementary Girl Scouts Troop 166 visited the home of Juliette Gordon Low, a Girl Scout national center in Savannah, Ga., on Saturday, Oct. 27.
The girls visited the birthplace of Juliette Gordon Low, founder of Girl Scouts of the USA, who was affectionately known by her family and friends as "Daisy."
Built in 1821, the house has been elegantly restored to reflect the 1880s and furnished with many original Gordon family pieces, including artwork by Juliette Gordon Low.
Following a historic tour of the downtown area the troop enjoyed dinner at Paula Deen’s landmark restaurant, The Lady and Sons. They admired the formal dining atmosphere at the world-renowned restaurant, and enjoyed the great southern cooking.
