Shooting under investigation

  • Wednesday, November 28, 2012

Someone was shot near Moncks Corner around 1 p.m. Wednesday.
There is little information available at this time as the Berkeley County Sheriff’s Office is still investigating the incident, according to BCSO spokesperson Dan Moon.
“Somebody got shot,” Moon said just after 2 p.m. “We’re trying to sort it out now. It happened a little before 1 p.m.”
A car believed to be involved in the shooting wound up near the old Gates Rubber Plant, near county offices, according to Moon, who said it has nothing to do with the Department of Social Services.
“We’re trying to investigate where it actually happened,” Moon said. “We haven’t had a chance to talk the guy yet.”
