Volunteers needed for youth paddle day
Friends of Berkeley Blueways need volunteers to help on Saturday, Oct. 1 from 9 a.m. until 4 p.m. at a paddle day event for youth. This event will be held at Spires Landing on Lake Marion in Cross.
The day will include free kayak, canoe and stand up paddling instruction and other events. Instructors and paddlers are needed to help with safety on the water. Also needed will be people to help park cars and a web page designer to build a web page for the event.
Thanks to the South Carolina Paddlesport Industry, the Edisto River Canoe and Kayak Commission, local paddle groups and others for helping with this event.

Choral Workshop The public is invited to participate in a choral workshop at St. Stephen Episcopal Church (196 Brick Church Circle). The workshop is scheduled to begin on July 16 and end on July 22.
