Army Colonel Derrin E. Williams
Army Colonel Derrin E. Williams has completed a 10-month executive level graduate program at the Industrial College of the Armed Forces (ICAF) at Fort McNair in Washington DC.
During the 10-month graduate program students analyze and evaluate 20 areas vital to our national security for their ability to satisfy national security requirements. In addition, students receive courses in economics, leadership, logistics, and acquisition, as well as more than 100 elective courses.
Upon successful completion, graduates are awarded a Master of Science degree in National Resource Strategy; and military students also earn Joint Professional Military Education II credit.
The students at ICAF represent every branch of the Armed Forces, the Departments of Defense and State, and many other government agencies. Each class of approximately 330 students includes International Fellows from 20 different countries, and Industry Fellows from 20 major corporations. Students are selected for their potential as future leaders in military, government, and industry.
Col. Williams is the son of Christina Williams and the late Nathaniel Williams Sr. of Oakley. He is a 1985 graduate of Berkeley High School.
Col. Williams civilian education includes a Bachelor of Science degree from South Carolina State University in 1989, and a Master of Business Administration from Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University in 2001.
He is married to the former Denise Collins of Columbia. They have two children, Kristin (15) and Derrin Jr (12).
Col. Williams next assignment is at Fort Bragg, NC.
