Dear Editor:

The March 28 issue of The Berkeley Independent arrived  in our  

Colorado mailbox today, and we were inspired to respond to  

the article "Is America Still a Moral Nation?" by Valentine  

Williams.  

His article is an outstanding analysis of the current issue of morality in our nation. We have been greatly distressed by the breakdown of the moral fabric of our society and it's accompanying problems. We commend you for having such a provocative columnist on your staff and for giving us outstanding, thoughtful commentaries on our national and local culture.
