St. Stephen Spring Cleaning set for March 10
Berkeley County Water and Sanitation and the Town of St. Stephen will sponsor the annual town cleanup on March 10. Volunteers are needed to pick up trash on every street.
Volunteers who help with the community-wide effort will be greatly appreciated. Group participation is encouraged.
Volunteers can sign up now or on the scheduled cleanup day. All who are interested in helping will meet at the St. Stephen Evangelical Church fellowship hall, 150 Church Road, on March 10 at 7:30 a.m. Everybody will be given a safety vest and garbage bags, at which time everyone will be assigned to a route to clean.
Everyone will meet back at the church at around 11:30 a.m. Lunch will be provided and there will be a drawing for door prizes.
The town maintenance crew will help pick up white goods (washers, dryers, refrigerators, etc.) and goods such as furniture and lumber if these items are at the curb on or before March 10. This is a courtesy to the community and a one-time service for our clean-up day only.
A rain date has been scheduled for March 17. If more information is needed call St. Stephen Town Hall at 567-3597.

The members of the Southern Drag Racing Association will present their 28th annual car show on Saturday, March 10 from 9 a.m. until 4 p.m. All of the proceeds will benefit Camp Happy Days, Kids Kickin Cancer. The public is invited and welcome to join the members of the SDRA for a car show preview on Friday, March 5 from 7 p.m. until 10 p.m. at Hooters Restaurant at 2171 Northwoods Blvd.
