The 2013 Class AAA State Champion Lady Stags 4x100 relay team picked up some hardware prior to the Berkeley football game with Cane Bay Friday night.
The state champion team of Ashlynn Smalls, Jonnay Anthony, Donni Robinson and Marissa Pinckney received their state championship rings for winning the 4x100 relay at the Class AAA Track and Field State Championship Meet in Columbia in May.
The Lady Stags also broke their own school record of 48.46 with a time of 47.85 seconds.
This was the second time in three years Berkeley has taken gold in the 4x100 relay.
Except for junior Jonnay Anthony, Smalls, Robinson and Pinckney have graduated and started college.
Smalls is a freshman at Limestone College and majoring in Biology. Robinson is a freshman at South Carolina, majoring in Broadcast Journalism. Pinckney is a freshman at UNC Charlotte majoring in Business.
