Bonner thanks Math Buddy volunteers
Bonner Elementary School recently sent a big thank you to Berkeley Electric and Santee Cooper volunteers for this year.
The volunteers are Kearney Greary, Will Brunson, Robby Borden and Christine Pope from Santee Cooper, and Lael Ford and Ashley Edens of Berkeley Electric.
They worked on a monthly basis with fourth and fifth grade students to strength the students’ math skills. The students absolutely loved the individual attention and instruction.
The faculty and staff at Bonner Elementary truly appreciate the commitment these volunteers made.
The annual Community Revival was held at Oak Grove PH Church April 21-24. The church was filled each night.
Pastors from community churches and from other areas were there nightly along with different church choirs.
The community revival was started several years ago and has been very successful. This is another way of bringing the community together in worship and prayer, regardless of denomination.
Baskets for MUSC Children
Hood's Chapel UM Church youth leaders along with the congregation once again made their annual Easter Baskets for the children's hospital at the Medical University of South Carolina.
Each year they make 75 baskets and deliver them to the hospital. This is one of the things the youth group and leaders began doing four years ago.
They always make beautiful baskets but this year they really outdid themselves. The baskets were filled full with a variety of items, and nurses at the hospital were impressed.
Happy Anniversary wishes from Providence Baptist Church to Quentin and Michelle Cook (April 26).
