On March 26 the Summerville Elk's Lodge held its last meeting for the year 2012-2013. During the meeting, Exalted Ruler Ed Orser awarded Frank Celeste the honor of Elk of the Year. Frank has worked very hard throughout the year as a volunteer in many different capacities. Exalted Ruler Ed Orser also presented PER Frank Polkow with a certificate from the Grand Lodge honoring Frank for his ability to bring new members into the lodge. Lastly, the lodge initiated the last new member of the year. Wayne Hagenbuch took the oath to join the Elks.
On March 16th, Chase Bruno competed in the Regional Elks National Hoop Shoot that was comprised of five states in the region.
Chase was placed 2nd in the Regional Hoop Shoot contest.
The Summerville Elks Lodge #2719 is very proud of Chase and for all those children that participated in our annual event.
